Dragonfly's owner, Eric Taylor, had been in the interior design industry for more than 20 years. After attending Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach, California, offered his design services to a wide range of clients in Southern California. During this time he met his first business partner and teamed up building a furniture manufacturing plant in Northern Mexico where he mass produced hard good pieces for several hotels and designed custom furniture for many of his design clients. Following this venture, Eric teamed up with an old friend and opened up a brick and mortar furniture and home store in the heart of Uptown Palm Springs. While running and buying for the extremely successful store, Eric continued to take on design clients and expand on his portfolio. Working in Palm Springs opened up a whole new venture for Eric as he decided to expand the business and develop a line of outdoor furniture to enhance the fabulous outdoor lifestyle his clients desired in the desert. Back in the furniture manufacturing business, led Eric to open up two more stores in Los Angeles and Palm Desert focusing entirely on outdoor living. Now relocated back to his home state of Washington to be closer to his family, Eric has once again ventured into the retail design sector, opening up Dragonfly which is a home, garden and gift store in downtown Tacoma. This store is taking a step back from the large furniture stores and is focused heavily on gift and small home and garden items. Come on down to 745 Broadway (home of Dragonfly) and say hello to Eric and his canine pal Bella.
